I forward this, in case you did not get it, from Maeve O'Sullivan:

Hi all,

Please excuse the mass e-mail! I'm afraid I'm using the metaphorical shotgun tonight...

I wanted to tell you all that my fourth book, 'Elsewhere', came back from the printers a few days ago. I'm really thrilled that the dream I had for several years, of travelling the world and producing a book, has become a reality. Most of the work in the book is from that nine-month trip, from last September 2016 to this June. It combines haiku and longer poems, also some haibun which is a form that mixes prose and haiku.

I'm very grateful to my publisher Kim Shams Richardson of Alba Publishing, for once again having enough faith in my work to take on another book, and for the great job he's done on the editorial and production fronts. The cover image is a photo that I took at a temple in Kyoto a year ago!

The book is dedicated to the memory of our sister Jean, who sadly died of cancer in September, aged just 63, as many of you know. She loved travelling too. Our charity partner this time around is Friends of the Earth Ireland, who will receive 30% of the profits from sales.

I'm delighted that Paula Meehan has agreed to launch the book on Thursday 23rd November, at 7pm in the Teachers' Club on 36 Parnell Square (see attached invitation). I hope to see some of you there, to wet this baby's head. There's no need to RSVP, just come along if you're free and so inclined!

All the best,

Maeve
