1. Haiku links > Redthread Archives > leads to the wrong place (takes us into the haiku section of my blog not to Redthread at all)
2. Add Topic appears on this page while I type, but does it when I reply?
No. It disappears when I reply. And the "Add new topic here button has become a dead end because it only gives the error message "No forums found".
We have lost our fuctionality on this button.
Two further steps are required to get to the Add topic button. You have to go FORUMS > redthread > i.e. into a thread index to get back to the Add Topic button, so we need to cut out the unmarked intermediate steps and have the "Add new topic here" lead to the "redthread" topic index page directly (the one with the button).
I can see one reason why we have redundant headings ("Redthread" essentially four times at different levels of hierarchy). There is a heading for Forums. Then there is a heading for the Forum. If we do not want several Forums we can cut that level out altogether and go FORUM > taking us straight to the topics index level (which is the one which gives us access to all the topic headings and to the crucial ADD TOPIC button).
Haiku link corrected
add topic button repaired
single hare added as site icon (checkthe tab in your browser!)
tree image sekected as header. Subject to change obviously
Thanks for repairing haiku link and Add Topic link.
I added Login back in on the introductory menu and pressed save and publish and it does not seem to have saved it.
I can see how to add the emails of members and I'll do that.
Latest version now updated!Do have functionality?
Yes I have functionality. I have fiddled with the background colour to better harmonise with the windblown winter tree - not too cheerily green - and to mute the strobe effect of bright green on red lettering. I have also capitalised the Redthread heading. There is just the matter of stretching the Tim archive now and we can go live. Are you at work yet?
Also we still have a redundant page cul de sac if anyone clicks on Redthread Archives (and they will, they will!). Get rid and lead the link to Tim's archive. Many thanks for all this ! We must discuss buying you a drink.
And have you found out how to delete the testing dialogue without deleting the whole site? It would be nice to go live in a tidy state with an introductory posting of welcome explaining how to use the site.
